Exam Procedures

Odd numbered periods will take exams on the first day of the exam schedule. Even numbered periods will take exams on the second day of the exam schedule, unless announced otherwise by the principal or his designee. Teachers should not deviate from the exam schedule without permission.Every teacher will give a nine weeks written exam. All students will take that nine weeks exam. No students will be exempt from taking the nine weeks exams. Students who are unable to take nine weeks exams will be given incompletes in all classes where exams were not taken until such time as make up exams are given. Under extreme circumstances, the principal or his designee may exempt students. These situations will be determined on a case-by-case basis.Exam exemption policy - Students may be exempt from semester exams if they have (a) an 85+ average in the class and no absences in the class, or (b) a 90+ average in the class and only one (1) absence in the class. A student who is exempt from the exam is not exempt from the attendance policy and should not interpret this exemption as an excused absence (i.e. - You must be present, even if you are exempt).

All students should have at least six grades for the nine weeks plus a daily average. All grades should be recorded in a grade book, STI grade sheets, ect. and must be turned in to the office at the end of the year.
