08/10/10 Local Schools - Professional Development 8:00 A.M. - 3:00 P.M.
WORK DAY FOR TEACHERS  
08/11/10 Teachers will attend faculty meetings and work in schools.
OPENING DATE OF SCHOOLS  
8/12/10 Regular full day schedule.
SCHOOLS WILL BE CLOSED AS FOLLOWS:  
09/06/10 Labor Day Holiday
10/11/10 Columbus Day (Flex Day-Professional Development Activities)
Professional Development Activities from 12:00 noon to 3:00 P.M. and Statewide Parenting Day - Teachers will be in schools for parent meetings from 3:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M.
11/11/10 Veterans Day Holiday
11/12/10 Flex Day
11/24/10 - 11/26/10 Thanksgiving Holiday
12/20/10 - 1/03/11 Christmas Holidays. Schools will be reconvene on Tuesday, January 4, 2011.
01/03/11 Teachers will work in schools (half day) and participate in Professional Development activities (half day)
01/17/11 Martin Luther Kind's Birthday (Weather Day)
02/21/11 President's Day (Weather Day)
03/11/11 March Holiday (Weather Day)
04/11/11 - 04/15/11 Spring Break
05/26/11 Last day of school. Regular full day schedule.
05/27/11 Teachers will work in schools.
   

* In the event schools are closed due to weather conditions or for any other reason, days will most probably be made up according to following schedule.

1st Day - January 17th 2nd Day - February 21st 3rd Day - March 11th

Any additional days missed will most probably made up at the end of the school year.

Principals are not permitted to dismiss school early without written permission of the Board and/or Superintendent except in times of emergency when the lives and safety of students are endangered.
